Guest Guest Posted February 28, 2005 Bob, I'm not sure how I feel about this shot. I love the warm color. I'm thinking this might have been stronger if there was a more dominant focal point. If I look at this as a monochromatic abstract, with the water line as the focal point, it works a little better. I can see why you shot this. The color, textures, reflections, posts etc are pleasing to the eye. Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted February 28, 2005 Laurie, I think you're right in your critique of this: it needs a focal point or at least something stronger in the foreground. I climbed over a barbed wire fence (plastered with no trespassing signs) in search of something put in the foreground, but alas . . . . Thanks for your comments. Link to comment
salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 28, 2005 I share as well the lack of a focal point, here... Next time do bring some inflatable balloon, possibly bright green, in the bottom of your camera bag!A modest proposal, why not to turn it into an abstract? The lower half, flipped, would make it for some interesting vegetal flames! You see, we've even the title ready! Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 28, 2005 Climbing over barbed wire fences and trespassing sounds like fun! Were the kids acting as lookouts? The police report would make a nice human interest story in your local paper. Ahhh... what we go through to get a shot. Link to comment
