It would be good to try and do something about the blown out sun in my opinion. I know the problem - I have a D70! Even covering the sun with my fingertip helps me see a more balanced pic. I might even consider removing the sun altogether! Not sure what you think about such things ...

I don't mind the sun in the frame although I think it's good that you chose an angle where the sun isn't reflected in its full strength in the bottom half - that might be too much. Personally I find the photo well-balanced and not lacking in foreground interest. Very nice overall!

Excellent handling of the light. From where I sit the sun adds much to this image. Beautifully balanced composition with all points converging under the sun. This I like...

You certainly get to some wonderful locations, Dave, and you certainly make the most of them!! Excellent snowy landscape once again.

Very good composition Dave.different texture of water, earth and mountains. The only nit pick is that the white triangled line is very centered, a bit more sky I think will make it even better, beautiful light, well done as usual. Pnina

Again a nice one, and the light is handled very well here (I don't mind the sun being in frame and being a bit burned out. On the contrary...) Jiri

Fantastical atmosphere, dreamy, beautiful and almost otherworldly. The sky is very strong, though I might wish the water was equally so. The composition is flawless, I love every bit of it! The use of a split grad here is questionable, as the sky overpowers its reflection, but I really don't think it detracts. The soft, muted reflection creates a nessesary contrast in the image. Overall, I like it very much. 7/6

Very strong picture. The effect of polarizer with ND grad filter here is superb, one of the best landscapes I have seen for a while

Dave I thought I commented/rated this one already but did not. Well I think the people above said all there is to say, so I will just say that you take great pictures and this is one of them too. 7/7

Take care.
