stevespencer 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Very nice reflection. Even though the white middle of the reflected sun/moon has no detail, it still works because of the framing you've used. It is almost impossible to get detail in those areas unless you shoot autobrackets and use layers to merge the underexposed highlights onto the lower, brighter area until you get the detail you want while still maintaining luminence - a technique that would have taken hours and cost a lot with film, but can be accomplished virtually for free and with great ecomony of time with ps. Just some ideas. This is a great shot, and should be on a calender, IMO. -s Link to comment

I've never taken this type of shot before and didn't realize that it would be possible to get detail in the highlighted area. I was hoping it would balance out the darker spot on the right.
