alecee 0 Posted February 25, 2005 My goodness! Thanks you Howard, Spencer, Richard, Manoharan, Joan, Francesco, Chips, Paul, Vicki for coming by and your kind words. There are so many postings of Macaws that I didn't expect such good response. I'm glad you see something that also intrigues me in this image. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Probably the best macaw I've ever seen. Great job! Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Absolutely GORGEOUS animal, photographed beautifully by you! I love how you caught the gradient of the colors in his (her?) feathers. That pose is great. Was this taken in a zoo? Was it a client's pet, or maybe your own? You did an awesome job of capturing the colors on such a nice smooth green and black background. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Thanks Ken, you have a nice one too in your portfolio. Laura if you read the details you'll see that it was shot at the Jurong Bird Park. A great place for photography as the birds are free to fly. Link to comment

cathyscholl 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Beautiful portrait. As someone who owns a small parrot I can appreciate how difficult it is to get this bird to sit still and pose. Great composition and depth of field. I just passed thru Singapore, wish I would have gone to the Park. Link to comment
gerry_bridge1 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Superb colours, Alec and the detail is excellent. Link to comment
gbc 0 Posted February 26, 2005 but I have to ask - to what extent did you post-process the image, especially on saturation (if any?). Been admiring your portfolios for a long time now - they've been an inspiration to me. Gul Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Tan Y B, you're too kind. Pawel, thanks for your color rendition. Adolfo, Allon, Gerry, Regina, appreciate your kind comments. Yes Cathy, you should have gone to the Jurong Bird Park when you were in Singapore. Sircar, you're simply too kind and Gul, actually the saturation is toned down slightly as the reds are too intense.
