wilsontsoi 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Good composition, nice tone, and very worthy of a family room wall. Amazing how you continually turn a typical image into something much more. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Oh, Howard - I love this one! Nice candid shot and very well composed. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted February 25, 2005 Howard what is prominent here, is the expression of each of them, especially the girls. Very well composed and captured! Pnina Link to comment
scott_j 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Your high-key technique is exceptional. I would enjoy learning these skills, you produce so many wonderful shots. Regards, Scott Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Really Howard, you should start a business and make lots of money! Hmmm. Then a lot of artists will go bankrupt from the way your churn out so many superb works of 'art'. Link to comment
home page1 0 Posted February 25, 2005 Very nice composition and detail with an artistic flare. I like it. Link to comment
aepelbacher 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Howard - I don't know how I missed this one. It's one of your absolute BEST! I like SO many things about this shot. The fact that the littlest girl is looking away is my favorite. I also love her hands around the basketball. And her hair and her earrings. Okay ... I think I need to adopt her. :-) It's a gorgeous shot, Howard!! Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Howard- The positioning of the 3 is super. The overall feeling the image evokes is wonderful. Quite serious. The child with the ball balances both the image and the serious emotion of the other two with her slight smile & of course the big round ball. My only wish is that there was a little more room on the right to include all of the child's hair plus a little space. The shadow and light is so wonderful on the child on the right. My eyes are immediately drawn toward her. Super detail. Link to comment
shami 0 Posted February 26, 2005 Yes its your style, and i tried to work on this...just to learn... please if u have some time then see my portofolio and the picture is "my ducks" i hope u will give me some suggestion on this work... any way very well composed and impact of this picture on the viewer is very very strong... 7/7 Link to comment
aneely 0 Posted February 27, 2005 A picture says a thousand words...in this case, words fall far short in trying to describe the image you have captured. So I'll just say - an incredible portrait done in your signature high-key white style. 7/7 Link to comment
gcanyon 0 Posted February 27, 2005 Howard, this is another wonderful human photo from you. It makes me feel that the 'we' in 'we are family' include all of us, not just your 3 models. The soft gaze of the father, and the intense look of the little girl on the right are just perfect. My only suggestion (IMHO) is that I would have kept the whiteout on the basketball at the same level as the teeshirt of the little girl on the right....so that there was more of a flow across of the image at the bottom. But this is trivial compared to your great capture. Rick Link to comment
warren williams 0 Posted February 28, 2005 Howard, this is classic - something the kids will look back on with fondness when they're old and grey. Three such distinctly different expressions. Magic. I particularly like dad's expression though - steely, but empathetic. Warren Link to comment
slyndan 0 Posted March 1, 2005 Hi Howard! Been a while for me, but once again you have outdone yourself! The detail you've acheived in this photograph is unbelievable. A picture like this is worth more than a million words.... amazing - sarah Link to comment
