This a beautiful Self-Portrait of light & colors ! lol

Nice idea and good composition. Light is very good and representative of the sunset. Rich colors. Softness of the shadow against sharp wall has created a beautiful mood. Unseen sun can also be placed behind you after looking at the picture. May not be completely original but certainly a very well executed idea.

I like these kind of self portraits, and think the name of the game is to provide some interesting complementarity between the shadow and the environment. Here it does work well in the contrast between the patterns of the surface and the blurred contours of the shadows. I just wander if you need all that space to the left, though... you are a tad too much to the right.

I like this shot. I don't like the oversaturated colours however. As a monochrome it's not good but 50% desaturated really improves it (imho)

Zafar, thanks for your nice comment. I agree this is not a particularly original subject--PHOTOGRAPHER SHOOTS HIS SILHOUETTE--though I think it's at least a workman-like attempt!

 

Salvatore, I shot this about seven different ways and I wasn't completely happy with any of the compositions. You'd think with a digital camera and unlimited frames to shoot that I could get it right!

 

Ivan, you're right about this being over-saturated, but I liked the effect for the reason Zafar mentions above: i.e. that you can "see" the sunset behind the photographer. I will consider a less garish version!
