The sun pattern is not reflected on the water and the light patterns on the water do not match that of the sky. The water looks gray as compare to the blue sky. Neat technique, but it just doesn;t work for me... Link to comment

dave_k1 0 Posted February 23, 2005 I do appreciate your comments but I did want to let you know that this is not 2 images combined. I do not have an explanation for the odd lighting but I can explain some of what was happening. The sun is rising behind me. There is a mountain (called Sleeping Lady) on the far horizon (the one we are facing) and the sunlight is reflecting off of it. It is not blue sky but rather dark heavy overcast, which I believe the reflected sunlight, is refracting through from the far mountain. It only lasted for a short time. The sun had to have been at just the right angle to cause it. Hopes this helps Thanks for your comments Dave Link to comment

dave_k1 0 Posted February 26, 2005 No I did not use ND Grad filter. I used the 15mm Canon lens and it does accommodate filters. I shot this in raw and adjusted image in layers. Thanks for your comments. Dave Link to comment
