The line of the fence leads your eyes to the mural, which is quite impressive. I tried to decide about different croppings on the fenceline, but I think you've probably picked the best way to crop.

The thing that stands out about this one is the 3D look of the mural. The fence and sidewalk provide a nice perspective but, at the same time, compete a bit with the mural and tend to make the image a little busy. Overall, though, this is very nice.

I don't think I could have made it work as well as you've done here The fence really is a huge part of this success (of course, compliment to the mural artist as well!) It looks like the fence extended out from the mural. Cool shot, Howard.

Oops, almost miss this wonderful image. Agree with Ken on the 3D effect of the mural. The figures seems to step out from the painting. Colours are vivid. And of course, the Fence makes it an extraordinary piece.

Howard...the colors you present leave an almost water-color feel. The detail in the fence drawing your eye to the giant mural. An everyday sight that you have converted into a beautiful painting. Rick

This is an excellent example of creating an outstanding photo from a not so outstanding subject. Cool capture. Very three dimentional.

Kind regards.

most of us would have tried to shoot around, under, thru the fence. Instead you have choosen to include it and what an impact it makes.

I need to keep learning...

Howard - this is GREAT!! Thanks for pointing me out to it. The painting is truly ART ... and I agree with the above comments that the fence needs to be there: you made a good decision!!

I'm wondering what your thoughts might be about this discussion thread: About the Photo.net eCards. Let me know if you get a chance to read through it.
