chris_conrad 0 Posted February 16, 2005 Thanks for your input--this has a bit of Jpeg artifact where the stone and sky meet. Maybe I'll even repost.... My friend Henry was trying to get me to go to Coyote Buttes this winter, but I couldn't really make the time. Then my dog (dingo) and I found this sweet little spot not far from home in Moab. We're calling it Dingo Buttes instead of Coyote Buttes. Your input is most welcome. cc Link to comment
etan_lightstone 0 Posted February 16, 2005 I love the sky on this shot. Did you use a graduated filter ND filter? if so, what kind/brand ? Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted February 16, 2005 I think this is a really neat shot, but I can't help but want to see more of the background to have a better sense of location or setting. Reading the image details helps, but the image should speak for itself a little more. Perhaps a wider lens would have helped. Regardless, as mentioned before, the side lighting really makes for a dramatic image. Good eye to see this. Link to comment
chris_conrad 0 Posted February 16, 2005 No Graduated ND filter for this. Just the circular polarizer (Hoya probably). The western (left) sky was pretty dark and forboding, so that might be the effect you're noting. Thanks for your input! cc Link to comment

thomas_collins1 0 Posted February 18, 2005 oooo... ahhhhh..... I can just imagine the responses to this image should it be thrown up on the big screen in front of an audience. :-) Link to comment
