Arup, knowing from the other pic how beautiful that tree is, I would include the whole tree and level the horizon. Assuming it is possible (obviously I can't see what's out of the frame), I think shooting this in landscape, increasing the space around the woman would increase the sense of lonliness.

Paul observation is right , if there were no distractions on the left and right , you could have framed it horizontally leaving more space around the woman .

I really like this, which makes the distraction of the unlevel water line all the more frustrating. I don't suspect you could do any leveling without changing the position of the figure (which I think is just right).
