salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 14, 2005 At markets, I like to shot patterns and goods piled on each other. This seemed a nice subject. Your critiques and rates are appreciated. Link to comment
jeremy freeland 0 Posted February 15, 2005 Hello Salvatore - thank you so much for all the very helpful comments on some of my recent shots. I really appreciate your candour, and the thought you've obviously put into your commentary - it's always very helpful. I like this shot and the patterns you've found in it. I'd like to see it in slightly warmer light, so that the yellows are a little more gold, but I think that requires a natural light thing, as opposed to a Photoshop thing. I did wonder whether the image would work better if it was rotated, but then decided (it being Valentine's Day) that the current inclination of the bananas is all that's needed ;-) Best, Jeremy. delp 0 Posted February 15, 2005 Where nobody awaits you ... the same black border, but no crazy landscape, just ... bananas ! I do like it. You seem to have the same issue I had with this seracs: where to cut the frame ? But indeed, here, the colours make the picture work well. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 16, 2005 Certainly an appropriate title. This photo makes me want a bite of fruit! Despite the obviously bright midday light, you managed to render the bananas in true color and in a pleasing pattern. The slightly green tips are a nice compliment. My only thought is the particularly ripe specimen near mid frame. Being so close to center, it occupies my eye perhaps more than it should. I like it's inclusion. I just wonder if it might have been better to have it less centered. I'm happy to see some new images from you! Link to comment
