Henri, I think I like this the most out of the last 3 posted. Wow, is this a flood? Could the recent South Asia earthquake and tsunami have something to do with this condition (knowing that Venince is pretty much at sea level, if not below)?

Yes Wilson, this is a flood. Aqua Alta means "the spring tides". But it has nothing to do with the recent Tsunami (the photo was taken before). This is a recurrent phenomenon in Venice. When there is the spring tides, the water floods the wharfs and also all the San Marco area (you can see my San Marco shots).
