joachim.wabnig 0 Posted March 10, 2005 Nice eye for the curve of the road, the bushes are too dark and the sky is too light though, some polarizer or graduated ND filter would have helped to bring down contrast. Link to comment
joachim.wabnig 0 Posted March 12, 2005 is fine, but you lose all the detail on the brushes. On my screen at least I cannot make out anything. And I guess this is not how you actually saw the scene standing there, did you? Have a look at my suggestion. That's approximately the effect of a polarizer. Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted March 12, 2005 Joachim, thanks very much for the trouble taken. On my monitor I can see the details of the bushes. On your example of how it should be, everything is much lighter and brighter - and imo a bit unnatural. I did not see the landscape in that light. My experience with photographs on computers is very varied. In the last 18 months I've used about 75 computers all over the world, in cybercafes, libraries, and at friends' places. Sometimes my photos in photo.net looked horrible, with newtonian rings and the like, or they were too dark, too light; anything went. So, the result of fine tuning is always open for discussion. I think it's the synergy between a monitor and the graphics card that plays a very important role. If two viewers have the same equipment, they might see the same thing. If that's not the case, all sorts of differences may happen. Anyway, I appreciate your input. Thanks again and cheers, Sam. Link to comment
