Do the sun in the corner bother you? I added a black frame so that it

is less annoying, but I still can't decide if I like it or not...

It's not the sun itself being at the edge that bothers me, but rather the fact that it seems strange to have the sun leaving such a wide open sky... Too much sky basically makes the sun's position more obviously "wrong". I like what I see on the ground though... How about using as wide an angle as you have and shooting almost from your feet to the horizon - keeping just a bit of sky and showing more of what's more interesting: i.e. the ground...? Regards.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "the sun leaving such a wide open sky"...

Could you care explain that a bit more? I'd be grateful =)

I like this shot just for the mood it imparts with the lighting contrast. I don't think the sun distracts from the photo because the paths that form from the flare help to draw you into the frame. If I were to get picky the only thing I don't like is the UFO you captured just below and right of the sun. I liked this the first time I say it and it just gets more interesting each time I look at it.

What I meant was basically this. If there was less sky shown in this pic, the position of the sun would be equally strange, but what bothers me most is that the horizon line is almost middle of the picture, whereby this picture has a symmetrical composition. In a symmetrical composition, it is even more strange to have an element so far out.
