Second attempt at light painting

 

Using Maglite

I like it, but there are a couple of things that bother me, mostly with the lighting. Over on the left, your lighging is very soft, almost like an old master's painting. But on the right, there are a number of harsh shadows and hot spots. Also, I wonder what would have happened if you had painted with a very low value, soft light, around and possibly behind the bowl.

You hit the nail on the head. My technique is anything but refined. I lingered too long in this area for certain. And again the affect I was trying to achieve was in fact the soft light in the top right corner.

Good composition and nice effect of the lighting !
