Looks like a scary place to be walking around on! I can't really get a sense of scale on this - it could be very small or very large. I like rocks - nature's natural abstracts.

Thanks, Kim. The 'chasm' is about 15ft from from to back and no more than 2ft wide. Its no Grand Canyon!

Why u tell us? i love guessing on these its half the fun. Like to see a big oversized bug crawl out one day and go ..oh so thats what it was. My fav shots of yours actually, something about them.

 

That looks like a big thumb near the top.

Hey that's really cool. Maybe God's thumb peeling the rock like you do an orange.

I like it on many levels. First, the texture of the rock and the way it contrasts with the rounded shapes of the edge. Then, the patterns of red, drawing some strange series of figures. Last but not least, the way one has really no sense of scale (nor of the planet this is shot on, actually!)

A picture that inspires one's imagination. I too see the thumb with the nail. Or is it a extended feet with the big toe?? : ) So interesting artiscally & sensually!
