mg 0 Posted February 12, 2005 Nice picture of a great - and well known - subject of yours. Expression is amazing. Framing bothers me a little more... especially the bottom left corner, which I'd maybe suggest to burn quite heavily, so as to allow us to focus on the face a little more. Cheers. Link to comment
jay_dixon 0 Posted February 12, 2005 To all, and to you Marc for the burn in suggestion, cropping is not an option. The lower left could use substantial work (now that I actually see and not just look), and I will attempt to correct. The light was beautiful on that Friday, but amazingly relective, more so with the look on film vs digital. Regards, J. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 13, 2005 could he be sayin 'gimme what you got, man'? following subject's advice, a midtone levels adjustment and a burn in of the lower left. sensitive or sinister? that all depends... Link to comment
judy_ben_joud 0 Posted February 13, 2005 BTW,i looked at the attached photo "give me contrast"-no way if you ask me .As it is it's perfect Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 13, 2005 no such thing as "perfect", except perhaps in the eye of a defender, but moreso by the photographer's read of the subject. don't assume that every suggestion is a directive. it could be a hypothetical option to explore. Link to comment
yvon_delbecque1 0 Posted February 13, 2005 Excellent BW portrait. He looks at me ! Bravo. (7/7) Link to comment
jshaw.photo 0 Posted February 13, 2005 Striking and scary. IMHO Don't play with it any more. Leave it alone, already. 7/7 Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted February 14, 2005 Very strong portrait. Good tones. Expression of this man is very different. Does he want to know why are you photographing him. Link to comment

pierrebelhassen 0 Posted June 15, 2007 Jay, Your picture is very strong and if you take a look at my work you'll easily understand why I like it. From Paris to SF, I can feel pride, sadness and sometimes anger in their eyes. Thanks for sharing. Pierre Link to comment
