nicholasprice 0 Posted February 23, 2005 I love your photograph. I love its soft tones. This place has a magical quality that you have caught well. The feeling of isolation, the distance and the abstract nature of the landscape is overwhelming! I visited the Olgas myself in harsher light. I'd be interrested to know what you think? - I think that your version is much more effective, thanks to that great light, and your better skills as a photographer! Link to comment
sambal 0 Posted March 10, 2005 Nicholas, thank you very much for your appreciation & comments. The difference between your shot & mine is propably caused by the shadowed buttresses at the foreground in my late afternoon shot. That migt have given it a bit more perspective & atmosphere than your high noon, harsh light photo. If you like, your photo could be brightened up a bit, or technocolourized, by fidgeting a bit with some knobs, levers, and shifts in a digital photo programme. However, that might no be to everybody's or, most importantly, your taste. I've attached a try-out of this kind. Hollywood colours! Cheers, Sam. Link to comment
