I just realised that photos like this lost their mystique to me. A few years ago I probably would have thoiught about the snow or sand question. Now I quickly come to one conclusion: photoshop. It's kind of sad. You guys will tell me now about light and bla but as a amateur I don't know this. This is not a critique of this photo per se, it's just anxiousness about what photoshop does to my understanding of photos....

Why worry about what's been done with Photoshop? What's been done with electric lighting? What's been done with the chemical processing of the film? It's all part of the art. I think people need to start accepting that.

In this photo a photoshop minimal. Translation in W&B and processing of edges. Shooting was conducted on a decline light on model and shadows all natural. I shall expose color the staff from this Shooting later. Personally I against a photoshop nothing I have no.

Like a bed going into infinity... Very interesting contrast: lighting gives the model's position a very natural and comfortable feeling, however as your eyes move forward you realize it's a very unusual environment.

I, for one, would like to wink at the contrast between the "inappropriateness" of subject and the "appropriateness" of shape.

this is outstanding. when viewing the "thumbnail" version i thought it might be a bobsleigh coming down the track.
