colin carron 58,916 Posted February 12, 2005 Good composition and colours. I would try sharpening but the textures are good already so it might not improve things! Link to comment

jimmcnitt 0 Posted July 26, 2005 So many wonderful images in this folder -- but this one pulls me in the most. I've been fascinated by gear works since my grandfather entertainment me in the waiting room of Grand Central Station by popping the back off his pocket watch with a pen knife. It seemed that there was entire world of levers and ratchets and gears inside -- a world that was at once fantastic and fascinating. What fascinates me about this scene is the apparent symmetry of this geared movement and the way you have created an off balance framing by emphasizing the angular polished piston that cuts across the frame. --jim Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted March 9, 2006 Love the composition here. Very well seen; all the details complement each other well, and the tight framing is excellent. I also like the tones, which perfectly convey the feel of this machine. Link to comment
vernon_warrell 0 Posted September 27, 2006 Jim said it. I like these images as well and this is a great sample. I am particularly fond of the graininess, it adds to the industrial feel and for some reason reminds me of creations by Tim Burton. Thanks for commenting on one of my photos.
