Dusk at Brandywine Falls

I can almost hear the falls;nice layers

Nice work Jerry, the bright leaves against the falls looks great. Only one complaint, I think the shutter speed was TOO slow, took all of the motion and power out of the water. 7/6

I disagree with Jim most respectivly...disk should be dreamy...dusk...to dream. 7.7

This is really beautiful and I think you nailed the shutter speed perfectly. Most of the water falls with motion blur have either too slow or two fast of a shutter speed, but this is right on. I like that I can see through the left portion of the waterfall, it almost looks like a mist rather than a fall.

how did you get the water to look like that? PS effect?

Lance, the silky dreamy effect is original and not done in PS. I think the aperture was set at f22 with shutter speed of 1/4 and a PL filter when I took this shot.

I like the light airy feeling of the falls complemented by the delicately arching branches.
