alecee 0 Posted February 9, 2005 Zion National Park is a photographer's paradise. The colors of the rocks blends well with the natural surrounding but you got to go early the catch the morning sun before it get's blistering hot in the afternoon heat in summertime. Link to comment
jmcconnell2 0 Posted February 9, 2005 Excellent! This is a composition that can happen only one of two ways. Either you gave it a lot of thought, or you got extremely lucky. Either way you done good! 7/7 Link to comment

c brake 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Excellent composition and execution Alec. I really like your choice of this tree that has been chopped off at the top. Very balanced image, great colors and light. My compliments:) Link to comment
harnstrom1 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Wonderful light. The tree and background are perfect in my eyes. (The foreground is a little bit distracting). Very good work. Regards. Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Thanks guys, yes it's a little difficult to get it right here. Luckily I used a polarising filter and this is the best resolution from a dozen shots. LOL! Link to comment

alecee 0 Posted February 19, 2005 Matty, they always say you are your own worst critic and I know that it's true. Althought I love the composition of this shot I am really not happy with the crappy foreground perhaps due to the harsh lighting conditions or the D70. Maybe a 12mp camera can do it justice. Mmmm. Maybe time to upgrade again and that is because I print it larger than 13" X 19". So this is not good enough. Link to comment
c brake 0 Posted February 19, 2005 I don't find anything wrong with the foreground, that's what was there when you shot the image. Sometimes you just have to work with what's there. Possibly a graduated ND would have helped, but I'm not sure. I still think it's a very good image. Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted February 20, 2005 Hi C. Brake. Thanks for your kind compliment. I do like the image but to make an A3 print from the original 2008 X 3000 pixels is not good enough to get fine resolution. It doesn't look as good as film, that's my complain. Maybe a higher resolution from a 12mp can make it look like an image from Velvia film? Anyone care to comment? Link to comment
