bens 0 Posted February 9, 2005 interesting, but consider burning more on the left side. the light is one thing, but its also a little washed out. Link to comment
sef1664877429 0 Posted February 9, 2005 The light difference almost makes it look like two different photos. Not necessarily a bad thing, you could have a light half, dark half kind of thing going on, but the presence of the sun at the top is a bit much. Not sure if cropping the top is a good idea, because of the verticals of the trees. You could get away with cropping away the left side entirely, I suppose. That would take the walkway off center, as well. On the subject of the walkway, that looks like a very interesting subject( hint hint). At first I thought a portrait version of this, centered on the planks, taken from a lower angle, with the path leading away into the trees would be good, but I can't decide now. What would that do to the exposure, and the verticals of the trees? And it might be better to have a little space either side of the planks... mmm, I'm stuck. Link to comment
cghubbell 0 Posted February 9, 2005 "Stuck" is pretty much where I was with deciding what to do at the time. My dog ran out of patience after a few images as he didn't think I was going to make up my mind. I'm going to try this image again in the spring when the snow is melted with the bridge on an angle and closer to the foreground & right. I had a feeling about the comments this would get, and it's helpful to have that confirmed. Thanks for your comments! Link to comment
