Rainy Day at the Zen Garden

This is pretty much a straight shot, excepting burning in the trees

a bit and the toning. I was a chilly, wet morning, but the light was

wonderful, and I felt priviledged to see it happen. By noon, the fog

had burned off, everything was a uniform gray, and it was time to

go. This picture represents the first baby steps in a new direction

for my work which I hope includes medium format and antique

cameras. For now, it's the old reliable Canon T-90 workhorse.

Yes, a good feeling here. Working with older equipment certainly teaches how to use the camera as the number of options decreases rapidly before 1980 and you have to rely on the photographer to make the photograph much more. May I suggest a nice old 4x5 Speed Graphic is a good place to start to get knock out quality at relatively low cost? Good luck.
