the tonal merger of the right antenna and rear leg with the heavy vignette of the upper right is disturbing. in PS a highlight/shadow adjustment restores detail and retains the vignette. still wish you hadn't cut into the leg at right.

And another stunning wasp of yours. We are never tired of such stuff!!

Mark, I don't think this one is up to your usual standard. The dark patch to the right is poor and the lighting on the insect is a little dark with subdued colouration.

 

As usual though, great sharpness.

If I consider temperament of these hornets I find this photo excellent. Well done Mark (as always!)

I can tell you from experience that these little bastards are pretty nasty! Nothing like digging through a nest of them to make you run like hell screaming in pain. I have to agree that considering the temperment of these son's a b*tches, this is a nice capture. I know this next statement won't be to popular but, I hope you emptied a can of Raid on him after you took the photo. I have no love for these creatures! Again, Well Done!
