Guest Guest Posted February 9, 2005 the tonal merger of the right antenna and rear leg with the heavy vignette of the upper right is disturbing. in PS a highlight/shadow adjustment restores detail and retains the vignette. still wish you hadn't cut into the leg at right. Link to comment

mark lucas 0 Posted February 9, 2005 Mark, I don't think this one is up to your usual standard. The dark patch to the right is poor and the lighting on the insect is a little dark with subdued colouration. As usual though, great sharpness. Link to comment
darugna pietro 0 Posted February 9, 2005 If I consider temperament of these hornets I find this photo excellent. Well done Mark (as always!) Link to comment

michaelfranz 0 Posted May 19, 2008 I can tell you from experience that these little bastards are pretty nasty! Nothing like digging through a nest of them to make you run like hell screaming in pain. I have to agree that considering the temperment of these son's a b*tches, this is a nice capture. I know this next statement won't be to popular but, I hope you emptied a can of Raid on him after you took the photo. I have no love for these creatures! Again, Well Done! Link to comment
