Howard, to me, this is quite different for you. But boy have you succeeded! Really nice contrast of the colours against the snow. And the motion of the kids (against the more mature, steady background of the adults is lovely). It's a very expressive shot. Love the trees and sky too - fairytale stuff. Thanks for the comments on my shots (the lady is my wife bless her heart!)

Howard, this is pretty much a modern day Norman Rockwell. Nice detail in the shadow area and back lighting that gives it a special feel. I also like it in color as is, although I"m sure you can do wonder in black & white, too. ^_^

hi howard, great colors and contrast, great job with the snow, and i'm a sucker for these kinds of scenes. my one suggestion is to crop on the left and give a little room on the right to go with the flow of their movement.

I have to disagree with Warren - I think this IS Howard style. It's candid and well composed. I like the color contrast, as well.

Very happy you found this image as interesting as I do. For some reason this shot is a favorite. I think it is full of life as a celebration of life.

Keeping aside the tecnicalities of composition ..... Its a real joyful moment of life and you have preserved it forever. Exposure and tones excellent. Shooting in the snow is quite different and under-exposure some times is inevitable but here you have done a great job.

Kind regards.

Howard, what a nice candid image it is! The colors and movment of the children against the white surrounding, the faint shadows on the snow. Realy well done. Pnina

I just want to second all the approbation above. Amazing that you got such a great looking shot in snowy conditions. Bravo!

I admire the composition, colours, and mood of this image, which is, indeed, "Celebration of Life". Best regards, Howard.

You take so many different subjects that it is often difficult to tell the good from the great. If somone had told me about this subject I would have said, that a good photographer would be lucky to get a good result. I don't know what that makes you because this is a great result!
