Guest Guest Posted February 8, 2005 Too cool. Loved the caption and the execution. The tilt in the neck and expressions really tell all about the caption. Excellent DOF. Sharp n crisp. Excellent use of light to your advantage. Nice work. Kind regards. Link to comment
warren williams 0 Posted February 8, 2005 It looks as though he's standing on sandblasted glass. The cropping is nice, lifts the shot a bit. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted February 8, 2005 Nice and simple. I like the composition here. Link to comment

wilsontsoi 0 Posted February 8, 2005 Howard, I like the composition, side light (really accentuate front on the ground,) and gesture. Frankly, I'm quite surprised that you didn't turn this into a b&w highkey. ^_^ Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted February 9, 2005 To be honest, I didn't think I was going to like this one from the thumbnail, but opened it up and was pleasantly surprised! I love the texture in it and the bird's expression. I would consider cloning out that dark bit above his head, though. Nice lighting, too! Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted February 10, 2005 Howard, this image speaks volume of your compassion for living things.Nice image of our beautiful little friend. But is he requesting for food? His chin-up posture shows he is an aristrocrat.Technically the image is a perfect one. Link to comment
tammy_tracy 0 Posted February 10, 2005 Spot on! I agree. The bird's expression fill the space. Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted February 13, 2005 It looks as though the bird is standing on granite not ice. The composition and the upward position of the bird's head is wonderful. I keep imagining some portion of a human shoe in the lower left. Wonderful exposure on a difficult suject! Link to comment
