peter_apostol 0 Posted February 8, 2005 The beauty of decay revealed. I always believed that one aesthetic problem in most developed western societies is the absence of decay. In the US for example there are some areas that are soooo architecturaly sterilized that the progression of time and it's marks are almost absent. No -aesthtically beautiful- rustic old houses or castles really exist and thus few myths and memories. In fact there is a movement in the US now to try to allow some old buildings to continue to exist for memorial and aesthetic purposes. This is all in contrast to an area as the Balkans where such photos are readily available... Link to comment
