elwin_estle 0 Posted February 5, 2005 The subject isn't particularly interesting to me. You have a possibility for a strong composition here, if you had gotten closer and gone vertical so as to frame just the woman and the large rock, with perhaps one of the smaller rocks in the foreground, it would be stronger. In addition, you have the line of the fishing rod that leads the eye out of the frame. Getting closer and moving the subject more to toward the bottom of the frame would help this. Also, your horizon line seems tilted to the right a bit. And yes, the digital mat doesn't work very well, it could be simpler and the pink has to go, I think. Link to comment

thierryvezon 0 Posted February 6, 2005 This picture is nice.I think you can improve it cropping on the right,so the nice fisherwoman will not in the middle of the photo.Cordial saludo. Link to comment
bobarcher 0 Posted February 6, 2005 Hi Marta, I would suggest maybe moving to the left the next time, move closer to the subject keeping the rock and person almost 2/3 of the vertical format and watch the horizon that it remains horizontal. You will probably have the horizon between 1/3 and 1/2 from the lower edge of the pic then. This brings more into the picture...more details of the happy person fishing, the beach details and the water behind where the fish come from. The light is low anyway so concentrate on the woman and her activity that's enough. Cheers, Bob P.S thanks for your kind ratings and critique Link to comment

jul 0 Posted February 6, 2005 I like the idea. She looks like she doesn't know exactly how it all works, but she is determined to catch a fish... a real woman :) It's a bit pinky but anyway it doesn't spoil it I think. And many thanks for yr kind comments on my pics. Cheers Link to comment
