Anyone who's seen pictures (or live) of the Canyon has seen something similar to this, which makes the fact you shot it so early a little different. Most ppl choose mid-day, or closer to sunset, and the colors really are different at all stages of the day. Having such deep shadows is a look you don't see often. I think this is well composed too -- the shadows don't dominate as much since there's a path through the "middle" that's brighter. I think this is well done!
