I am curious what you think. Thanks in advance for your time, comments and ratings.

Very nice, Reminiscent of many of the images from Iceland that Michael Reichmann has displayed on his Web site. Someday I need to go there. It must be one of the most scenic places in the world.

The houses look so minute compared to the surrounding nature. This must be a common theme all over Iceland. I second Christopher's opinion about the exposure control. Good shot. Regards. Peter

The composition really catches my eye. The other thing I think is outstanding is the range of color and light. I really like the stark separation between the water and rocks. The water is such a dark blue and the building is so bright. Images like this make me appreciate the great qualities of a beautifully exposed slide film.

The light is very beautiful. The shadows of the clouds and the sky give a feeling of the weather. The colours are good too with the bright buildings against the dark muted land. I like the lines of the composition. A couple of thoughts for alternatives : I would be interested to know what you would think the shot would look like if you used a slightly shorter lens (to make the buildings smaller in the landscape) and maybe include more of the land on this side of the water (vertical format). I think this might increase the sense of isolation and remoteness (but not necessarily improve your shot! :-).

Baldur, I like is as is, it is very beautiful,I like the nuances of the brown colors, against the white house which is very Icelandic typical.

Doug, thank you very much for your comment and compliment. Iceland is very beautiful without pollution and the light is sometimes like magic. I love it.

Christopher, thank you very much for your comment. This was a good day. I made shots of two other subjects after this one. They are: "Generations" and "Under the Rainbow". I was testing new lenses, the 400mm and 20-35mm and trying to make decent images. This is the first subject with the 400mm lens, shot number 4 of 5. Best regards, Baldur

Jerry, thank you very much for your constructive comment. The dark blue water is the seawater who surrounds the island (Videy). Best regards, Baldur
