jay weston 0 Posted February 4, 2005 This massive (looks big when you're standing under it...) cloud band came up over the horizon after sunset and I just avoided getting soaked by it. A sky formation that looks to me as if it has some sort of personality... Love to hear what you think. Thanks for looking. Link to comment

chad_gard 0 Posted February 4, 2005 Interesting and enigmatic photo. Without anything to reference it by, it's hard to tell the cloud is "massive". Since you stitched it together from 32 frames, I believe you. But as a photo by itself, with no horizon in the frame, it seems like a centered, oddly-shaped, backlit cloud with, and little else. If enigmatic is your goal, you definitely succeeded. Link to comment
MichaelChang 12 Posted February 26, 2005 Hi Jay, you have a most interesting collection of sky pictures. I haven't done much stitching; it's something that interests me for better resolution if nothing else. In fact, I think you just prompted me to try stitching of some night shots. I don't know which software package you use, but there's a Japanese package called PhotoFit that looks promising. I think I'd be inclined to agree with Chad on this particular picture, although it'd be hard to tell how it'd appear with some land. I suspect we'd then be complaining about the rule of thirds. :-) Link to comment
