salvatore.mele 1 Posted February 4, 2005 A very pleasent composition. I like all of its contrasts. Sharp and smooth lines; stucco and stones; fabric and wood; the series of colours. What I like the most is that is a series of planes, where each following plane has a different colour and shape and texture, and often even a different material! Link to comment
ramthakur 0 Posted February 4, 2005 Excellent composition. Salvatore's comments above represent my feelings too. Link to comment
root 0 Posted February 4, 2005 How curious that the missing plaster should create such a precisely edged frame and that the blue area seems like it should be part of a roof or other 3-D element. . . . . very curious. Link to comment
sarahunderhill 1 Posted February 4, 2005 Nice catch here. Great composition and enough color. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted February 4, 2005 I agree with the comments already made. The variety of textures is wonderful. I also like the contrast between all the crisp straight lines and the more organic shape of the stone surrounding the window. The line created by the cobalt blue section is a surprise and keeps this from being too balanced or symmetrical. The delicate fabric in the window is the icing on the cake! You were fortunate to have such nice even lighting for this shot. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted February 5, 2005 I echo all the nice things said about this shot. I imagine the original had more fine detail in the stone texture. I don't see this as 'lonely' though. Too cheerful for that! Link to comment
