This is a very unique capture. Beautiful colours & tones of the feathers with the head hidden. Caught my eye immediately.

Jerry, the colours and the way the subjects jumps out is superb, but I'm afraid for me it's not a pretty "pose". The bird is messy and doesn't even make for a good abstract (just my opinion)

Mark, thanks for your comments but I don't quite understand how do you define a 'pretty pose' of a bird and why this is 'messy'. Maybe you can show me some 'elegent' pictures of birds so I'll understand better what you mean.

 

And for Mr. Revenge Revenge, I hope you rate this 3/3 truely based on your expertise in photography and not just for a 'revenge'. BTW, you probably need to adjust your monitor settings or get a new one.

How will adjusting the monitor let him see the head (only joking).

Jerry, you have some attractive bird poses in your folder. This is not an elegant pose.

 

And, no, I won't show you any elegant pictures of birds. You asked for critique - accept critique.

Mark, thanks for the reply. First of all, I believe that I also thanked you for your comments (not just for the high raters). Secondly, I DID NOT submit this one for critique. It's not that I don't appreciate your opinions, I just don't quite understand what do you want to see.

Out of curiosity, how did it get here if you didn't submit it for critique?

Mark, what I mean is I did not (and will not) submit 'Request for Critiques' on this one. I submit photos for critiques when I feel I need contructive suggestions/opinions on those shots. Anyway, I appreciate your time for looking at my works.

Not an original shot, but it has great color and detail. I like the angle of the bird and the fact you can't see his face makes this almost abstract.
