Great idea... however, I think (not sure) I would like it more if it were either more tightly cropped, or shot slightly wider. It is not tight enough yet to be an abstract; nor is it wide enough to put the snow/fence in context. The road (?) in the upper left is a bit of a distraction. Very nice idea, well exposed.

Howard- you can make even the most mundane look interesting! I love all of the different textures and variations in color. The metal strap with the nails/screws adds to the interest. The road in the upper right, just adds another variation of gray and I don't find it distracting, actually, I think it compliments the other angles. You really had fun in the snow! Nicely seen!

I'm pretty much in agreement with comments above. Any improvement? I'm not exactly sure if you can. May be increasing the contrast? But that would probably decrease too much of the shadow and highlight detail. Good eye, Howard. ^_^

Howard, you are a great photographer and a great technician - and your eye is magnificent. After looking at the ongoing work of some of my favorite PN artists, I may just have to put the camera down forever and become an operatic tenor.

Howard, I agree with the comments above. You make the mundane look interesting. It looks like the post on the right is holding up the crossbeam from falling any further. Very creative! Rick

Amazing contrast and the detail of the wood is astonishing. I am quite partial to the framing of this photo, aside from the small bit at the top corner. The depth is wonderful! You do find interest in the mundane...ahhh to be a rabbit!
