Does the orang-utan reaching out of the frame work...? I *think* it

gives a bit more interest to the pic.

Fujipress ISO800 and a 90mm Contax on a G1... I was pleasantly

suprised at how sharp it ended up.

It's taken in Sepilok, a rehabilition centre for orangutans in Borneo; definitely not a zoo. The many of the apes are semi-nomadic, with some returning to a feeding platform every day. Hence the rope.

I'm not sure who's correct on this: I think the rope is a key to the story. I will agree that I should of included this in the description and not left the viewer guessing.

Image rules: CONTENT Images should follow PSA guidelines for nature, i.e. they should not show the "hand of man" unless it is part of the nature story told by the picture. For example a picture of Barn Owls nesting in a barn is OK, as long as the owls are the main subject. On the other hand a picture of a deer in a local park with people or cars in the background would not be OK. A bird perched on a fencepost is OK, but a landscape with a fence or a building in it is not. Cultivated flowers are excluded, as are domesticated animals (cats, dogs, cows etc.).
