Very nice capture with nice colors and good composition. BTW, at 45 feet below, did you use any flash at all, or was it off the camera to the top right? If so, a very natural lighting set up!

Beautiful! The colours, the lighting and the almost humorsome model all contribute to make this a great piece. The clarity on the turtle is striking as it forces it even more as the subject with the water a more blurred backdrop.

Glen,

Hanama Bay is a favorite place of mine but last winter 04 it was hit by extremely heavy surf that damaged the coral even in many of the deeper areas of the bay and knocked over entire sections of confluent coral reef. I visited in January of this year and found that the entire bay was devastated. I am curious as to when you photographed this image. There was one particular area at 40 feet that always guaranteed turtles. There were turtles there when I visited but the coral is gone. Your image shows healthy and confluent coral reef formation. Thanks.

Andy
