Shot in a funeral reception of a distant relative.

hi, i feel moved by this shot, partic the chap to left and the main subject. there are some uncomfortable overlaps of fore/background though which is a shame, but it still doesn't detract from the overall feeling. interesting :)

The faded shadows, the blurry foreground, the blocked background people, and the way everybody looks in different directions suggests to me how alone these people feel after the death of their friend. The only connection is between the woman in the centre and me, the viewer, which is so sad.

I love the capture, the mood set by the eye contact....only one thing, I would love to see it in B&W..I think this photo would really shine. Maybe crop some of the top to create a panorama as well....very nice image!

I would eliminate the people from the foreground and focus on the woman in the background alone.

Enjoy it so much more as a B&W...a great expression amid the chaos.
