Guest Guest Posted January 27, 2005 ...in the life of an image editor, something we all have done. you might experiment with color images or one b/w and one color to give you more blending options. for example, here you might want just the face and head to emanate from the sky and not bleed through the columns. in that case it should be easy to selectively mask the temple columns and structure, and accomplish the "sandwich" of the two images to look more aesthetically pleasing. all that said, the relationship of the two images escapes me as a viewer. Landrum Kelly 64 Posted January 27, 2005 Ah, Dennis, she appears again. I think that she will be with you always. What does your wife think? Link to comment
dennismk 0 Posted January 27, 2005 I am lucky to have a wife who is also an artist and a very understanding person. She knows how I feel about her and so has no problem with my obssesion with this old image of Judy. Judy and I met in Seatle last Oct and had a great time over dinner talking about the past and each other. A ejoyable time. She is well and doing ok and loves these photos of herself. Link to comment
henrimanguy 0 Posted January 27, 2005 In my opinion the photomontage does not work very well. The two subjects are in opposition and do not blend one in the other. I can't see the aim of the composition, what it is supposed to make me feel. Link to comment
Landrum Kelly 64 Posted April 9, 2006 Dennis, old loves become iconic monuments over time, not so? After a while, we are not sure why we revere them so, since the feelings are gone and only memories remain. I am reminded of Willie Nelson's phrase, "old worn-out saddles and old worn-out memories," from "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys." "One cannot step twice into the same stream." --Lannie Link to comment
