photos of hans koot 0 Posted January 25, 2005 simplicity is the key. almost a reflection? Works very well. We staan hier bijna naast elkaar op het critique forum. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 25, 2005 Merci, Christian! Ton photos sont magnifique! Thank you Hans. It's it not a reflection. Only an other small cluster, not close enough to my camera to cath it macro. En,... ben je er al achter? :) Hi Wim, I'm glad you like my background because I was in doubt about it. And for the rest of it: ik zou zeggen ga je gang, maar ik waag me er niet aan! Of aas je soms op dat ene zeer begerenswaardige erfstuk??:-) I appreciate your kind comment, AL. Link to comment
novastorm 0 Posted January 25, 2005 Wow they look Juicy! Very nice Ada. Beautiful shot, nice contrast and the background is perfect. I agree it's like a reflection in back. Are we having fun yet with our new camera. Your making me remember when I got mine. :) Keep em coming. Cheers Nova :) 6/7 easy Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I'm very glad with your comment. Yes, I agree those red berries look very juicy, but I think it's better to leave them for the birds. I think you get stoned by eating them or if worst comes to worst you died )-: that should be a terrible waste. Yes, I really have fun with my Rebel. In the early morning I stood in the middle of two railroads with my camera of course, waiting for the train coming from the north in which my old aunt and my stepmother should travel to visit me. I would like to shoot the two ladies while they passed me in full speed of 140 kilometer per hour. But probably I've missed the train (When I came home they were still arrived and had their first cup of coffee and piece of pie served by my beloved husband *!*. But after standig there in the middle of nowheres and on a very dangerous place too, I decided to leave that place of death and during my walk back home I discoverd the redberries. Well that was my Rebel day. Very valuable day, afterwards. I'm curious to your first experiences with the Canon, Nova. Hope you have some time to tell more about that. Cheers, Ada. Link to comment

michael_draper 0 Posted January 26, 2005 This would make a wonderful Christmas card. I love the deep red colour and just the sprinkel of snow. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted January 26, 2005 Ada, still no snow but this one conveyes winter feeling very well. Good work with DOF and great contrast to the vivid red of the berries. A january image for a calendar, just crossing through my (your) mind!? Edgar Link to comment
amélie 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Hi Ada!!!!! This is lovely and I agree with Nova, though as you say don't eat em! I have a bush with red berries that a certain breed of bird loves, it has lived around my house for years so know they can't be poisonous to him. Love that dusting of snow...so pretty! What lens are you using on your 300???? Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted January 26, 2005 Ada, this is so beautiful, verynice background as well, so you get only 7/7...LOL Pnina Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 26, 2005 Beautiful compsition and colours. My only thought is whether the two branches would look better separated a little. (I don't know - it is just a suggestion) But anyway a really colourful winter scene to help keep us warm. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 26, 2005 Thanks Amelie, for watching my redberrieshot. I know about the birds, they are fond of these little red devils. I just said to Pnina's snailshot that everything which is beautiful seems to be dangerous. And I don't like that at all, because I only fall in love with beautiful men and the conclusion is that means that it will ends for me in a certain dead.(LOL) Serious now: I just have one lens (till now) and that is the standard lens of the 300 D the "EFS 18-55mm". My big wish is a wide-angle lens. But for this time I'm content with what I have. I really enjoy this camera and I should advise it to everybody who is looking for an other one. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I'm really very honoured by your contribution and the high ratings. I know what it means when you give sevens to somebody's work. I'm very happy! Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 26, 2005 I thank you for your comment and I'm thinking about your idea and I really don't know if it would be nicer. I can't do the shot again because the snow is melted now. So it is what it is. I'm glad you like it in this way too.:~)) Link to comment
rod_melotte 0 Posted January 27, 2005 I LOVE texture of the snow and very good choice on the color of the frame. I also like the depth of field in the shot. Very pretty!! Well done Link to comment
detlef 6 Posted January 28, 2005 the out of focus repetition works well as does your dof and placement of the main subject Link to comment
cherlyn 1 Posted January 28, 2005 Ada, very good use use of DOF & colour contrast. The red generates a warmth to a otherwise cold winter scene. Deliciously well captured. Luv, Cherlyn Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted January 29, 2005 I like the way the berries are reflected in the background. Well seen! Link to comment
