Descent in a storm from the north face of the Triolet, in the Mt.

Blanc Massif, France.

Very nice mood, light and composition.

What a nice shot! I like the way the rope gets lost in the fog, which really conveys the strenght of the elements in such places. On a more aestethic note, I like the composition with the amounts of snow, sky and rocks. The way the rope and the slope all guide our eyest around the picture is remarkable (as it is the fact you took off the gloves to shot!)

Very well executed. Powerful image. The border works especially well also.

Jim, I think this shot really gives a feeling for what the climber is having to endure. It`s a very good photo, sharp focus and great clarity. And the composition is nicely balanced, 7/7

I have had a quick look to your portfolio (I will take a more detailed look a bit later) and was delighted by the pictures. All of them with a great composition.

 

As a B&W photographer myself, this picture has grab my sight almost immediately. Wonderful.
