Supriyo 6,008 Posted January 21, 2005 The colors are quite real. The beautiful blue is a typical of deasert sunset and stays for a couple of minutes. Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
jimg 0 Posted January 21, 2005 Great timing to catch the earths umbra so clearly. It definitely adds to the coloring in the sky and adds to this very dramatic landscape. Beautiful. Link to comment
Supriyo 6,008 Posted January 22, 2005 The horizon is not tilted. I specifically checked that. I think it is an optical illusion caused by the tilted lines of the mitten. Link to comment
shileshjani 0 Posted January 22, 2005 Supriyo, This is wonderful and all. I must say thought that had you gone here the day before, the moon would have been in the same (almost) position approximately 40 minutes earlier, when the sky/forefround would have been brighter. It would have allowed you to use an exposure that showed detail in the moon) if no clouds, of course. But...........you would have lost the earth shine seen here. Compromises. My favorite is to capture such a scene 1 day (landscape format) or 2 days (portrait format) before the day of full moon. Tomorrow is two days from full moon!! Link to comment
jana 1 Posted July 12, 2006 WQuite a beautiful play of colours, well done as far as the compo. The moon is blown out, it is a pity. cheers Jana Link to comment
