D O U B L E Measures

When I uploadedMother's Wine, there were a few comments about the glare in the glass. In this rendition I have reduced the glare a little.

 

Feedback appreciated!

Well this is definitely creative. The model could be holding the glasses in a more relaxed fashion and more care could be given to the lighting and simple things like what is creeping into the image (ex. her hair). Also the weighting to this image is mostly to the glasses and your subjects breats are not as prominently positioned in the frame. I think seeing the top of your models chest and less of her hands might be a nice improvement. Just a few thoughts.

I have to say that the first think that comes to mind is: "May I have a drink?" I really love this photo. Great job.

Jim, This is exactly the kind of critique I am looking for. Thanks for that. The lighting was not perfect by any means. I was trying to avoid reflections from windows etc! Since reading your comment, I have resubmitted the image with different brightness and contrast settings. I hope this helps to improve the image.

 

I have to be honest and say I didn't notice the 'way' she was holding the glasses. The poor girl was cold and there was a rush to get this photograph taken. That may explain it.

 

The weighting of the image was carefully thought out. (Believe it or not!) I do always like to inject humour or leave the viewer wondering what I was trying to achieve. I will not comment any more on that for now. Thanks a lot Jim. You have been a great help.

I like the way you have it slightly unbalanced as if youre mimicking nature- the body isnt perfectly symetrical. egg nog in those glasses?

 

oh! and I found out the difference between art and porn. art doesnt leave nasty little hijacker bugs and take over your system...just your mind.

Knicki, Yes! I wasn't too insistant in setting this shot up as she was very cold. In actual fact she is blue in colour. In warming her up, I turned the milk into egg nog!
