Brilliant, electric color! And good composition that pulls me into the back of the scene, gets me all nicely tangled up in the glimmering branches, then has me dancing across the water. Rich, dense but somehow at the same time open texture. Great job! Am new to digital photography...care to share details about the scene, exposure info, etc.?

J.Doyle first of all thanks for the comment.

Now This is a small town near the Dutch border which I visit very often at least twice a month it's called Kleve.

it's about 50Km or 30 miles from where I live.

I just discovered this spot by chance, I've been visiting Kleve for quite some time and once I entered the Town from another direction, tried to find a spot to park my car when I spotted this place from a distance.after I parked my car

it aroused my curiosity and went to find out more...I was totally amazed...not only that but there is a walking path where you have that river on your left hand side and thick vegetation around you I have been taking many pictures in that spot it's amazing in every season of the year I really get inspired there. and it gives me that sense of serenity, deep inside me. Anyway I got carried away am sorry.

Now the technical part.

It was shot as you can see with My Sony and not my first...hahaha Sony 717 to my knowledge and humble opinion one of the best digicams for IR.

I had an IR filter equivalent to the Hoya R72 german made Heliopan a ND4 and a ND2 stacked on my camera it was shot on nightshot mode the aperture was 2.2 the shutter speed was (1/60) a plus for shooting IR handheld.

after I post processed it and converted it to B&W I noticed it was very well suited for a night simulation effect due to the lighting and the shadows and highlights.

I then added that blue tone to give it the final touch.

Hope I was able to shed some light am very much attracted By IR IMHO the possibilities and variations you can achieve with IR are endless.

Regards
