White Tail Deer 3

White tail buck. 8 point. Good opportunity to photograph this guy as

he wandered around. There are 2 other photos of this deer in the same

folder. Critiques / comments welcome.

Love the focus in this image. The background really helps the deer to stand out. One of the first things I noticed was that you caught the eye of the deer perfectly as well. I have had enough opportunities to achieve this type of shot but cannot say I have had results as good as this. Great work. Very good details. The 70-200 appears to be a very good lens.

 

From the large view, it appears that the RAW mode eliminated any artifact associated with the Canon JPEG compression.

I'm very happy with the 70-200 F4. I have used the 2.8 IS which is amazing but quite heavy ( and expensive ). The RAW format does do a good job.

Exposure on the deer is great. The background distracts. I feel it should either be sharper or much more out of focus.

Bit dark in my book Ray. Shot like this doesn't come along often. Sharp and well composed.
