Well, at least it isn't a cherry, lol! (Had to look closely as the "Blonde" in the title is so light it's almost lost.)

Edgar, This was just a shot taken for fun. If it made you smile it is a successful picture.

Owl, I think your monitor needs adjusting.

Thank you both!

David, new flat screen LCD monitor, more likely it's these old eyes that need adjusting! (Although with LCD's it does make a difference as to the angle of the monitor and the ambient light as how the image appears.)

Again your fertile imagination is plowing forward.

Like someone else commented, this one was just a matter of time.

The compartmentilization of the composition is great as usual and the overall effect is strong. I am surprised that no controversey has started, however the night is young. 5/6

the leaves on your berry are wilted. I'm going to have to look and think a bit more on this one...I have been here and will be back.

Owen, Kind again as always. I am sure if people looked at this picture they would see the humour in it. I sometimes think I am wasting my time and then you come along (and others like you) to let me know it was all worth while. I did not think this picture was controversial. However, as you say, the night is still young! Thanks.

Knicki and Edgar, Guilty! The strawberry leaves are wilted. This is NOT significant to the picture. This image was shot on the day I met the model. I did not have advance knowledge of 'how she looked down there.' I knew I was only going to see this model on the day this was taken. On meeting her, and seeing her, I realised it would be good if I had a strawberry at hand. Alas the only strawberry I had was this one and I had to retrieve it from the bucket in order to take this picture. (Please don't tell the model!) Thanks to you both!

David, Overall, I like this. The composition and colors are quite nice. I understand your challenge with the strawberry. However, I think a plump strawberry with healthier greens may have worked a little better. Conceptually, it probably doesn't make much difference. Aesthetically, my eye is drawn straight to the berry and....what can I say, I prefer healthy fruit. You know...many people put sugar on their strawberries. Just a thought :).

I also wonder how this would look rotated clockwise to a vertical, not as an improvement, just a different perspective.

hope you dont mind, but I played with it just a tad. Just wanted to see what would happen if it was converted.

I know it blows the skin out a bit- and it was done in a hurry so forgiveness is begged on that issue. I was trying to show the texture of the berry in contrast to the texture of the shaven area.

Knicki

Ps..Sandy, when you've had your fill of David why not give some of the rest of us a gander.

Thanks for taking the time to play with it Knicki. Maybe black and white was the way to go with this one. Maybe I need to spend a bit more time with it.

I like your comment to Sandy. I must confess I am a little lost to know why I am almost exclusive. Any ideas?

Knicki - David bites so well!! I am working my way through and perusing several photographers works. I look forward to giving your photos a more than quick glance. If the photographer presents photographs of an intrigueing nature or ones meant to entice some interesting debate - they have to be prepared to take what is written or spoken about their work. Now David, there is no way you can say that the little boy in you when offering some of your photos up for critique is not sitting back and waiting for the comments to roll in and open up a bit of mischievous debate (as well as the standard comments and criticism?? Laurie - i 'want' him???? lol I have and still do want a few things in my life - but don't ever recall a David on the list - he's not really my type. Sorry David - I'm sure you will be cut to the bone, but you will get over it. Ive had another look at StrawberryBlonde and i still don't find it berry delicious. Besides not being enticing - the stubble!!!!! Berry Smoothie might be nice!! Plump, fresh and juicy is the go!!!!

Sandy, it is with weak knees that I say I look forward to the day you dig through my folders and comment. (tongue in cheek)

To comment on the razor stubble- that aspect is what I think makes this shot more interesting than erotic/sexy. I like stubble in comparison to the seeds in the strawberry. Of course, if the skin was stubbleless and soft in nature then it would come off completely different.

I agree with Knicki regarding the stubble. It works perfectly with the fruit (though it looks like it might itch). Without the stubble, a smoother fruit would have been in order. Another option is to let the hair grow in completely.-Perhaps "Strawberry Patch"?

Knicki and Laurie, I said earlier that if you have to explain yourself you have failed. I realise that you both understood this shot exactly and that makes me very happy indeed.

It is nice Knicki that you have taken the time to explain this shot to Sandy. It is also nice that Laurie backed up what you said as if to reinforce the meaning. Quite frankly I would not have bothered. This is a sad thing to say in view of the fact that I have her, almost, exclusive attention!

Thanks to you both!

Well David,

Your choice of fruit seems to be getting smaller and smaller! __evil_grin

I prefer this pose compositionally to the sitting salads from earlier. But I think if I'd had a couple of strawberries, I'd prob'ly go in a little closer - fill the frame with strawberries and goosebumps.

p.s. Just wondering, you found variety in fruit, why not some variety in interesting places to put it

Richard, Thanks for the comment. I think the earlier comment about a larger strawberry would have been more appropriate. Zooming in would definitely have worked. however I wanted to show where the bikini line should be.

Edgar, I am sure if you had strawberries in England, you would have been served them with cream and not milk. Going too far? Who knows?

Thank you both!

David - Exclusive attention!!! Hmm... yes perhaps that is the way you think. You like positive attention. I'm trying and if you present something that i like - i might surprise you!!!

Knicki and Laurie - I do appreciate your explanations - (but I do get it!!!!!) thank you anyway, they may be helpful to someone else who is struggling.

Hi David...

Compared to rest of your pics this one lost some kind of spirit.

When you take pictures of that part of the female body make sure that she is perfectly shaven...the stubbles....on of the "no-goes"...for me

Cheers

Michael

You are missing the point completely.

Look at the strawberry and look at the skin.... do you see how similar they are or is the joke lost on you?
