judsonr 0 Posted January 12, 2005 . . . and I love the High Sierra, but I believe you have transposed the "o" and the "u" in the Meadow's name. I know, it's tough enough to spell, let alone say. LOL! Beautiful shot. I miss it so. 7/5 Link to comment
christopher_morrison 0 Posted January 12, 2005 The branch is distracting to me and interrupts the mountain line. I would have liked to see the shot from a lower angle which would have placed the branch above the range and filled in some of the dead space of the gray sky Link to comment

rogerphoto 0 Posted January 13, 2005 The tree in the foreground makes the difference. Great DOF and detail. Ps: thanks for comment my "Eyes of the storm" Shot, but unfortunatly we weren't there in the same day. Unfortunatly I never been there. ...but the weather colors are very similar, yes. Guest Guest Posted January 17, 2005 Wow, Alec this is magnificent, you are gifted with such fine skill. This is as good as anything you have posted. I believe you are getting the very best out of your camera here. I don't mind the branchlets in the line of the Mt.- the sky is so much part of the image, it would be a shame to carve it up. - Brilliant a joy to view... Link to comment
jayme 0 Posted January 17, 2005 Alec- Love the light on the tree and the detail in the moutains. Very nice! Link to comment
alecee 0 Posted January 17, 2005 My gracious thanks for everyone who dropped by and commented. Apologise for not replying earlier as I was outstationed. As you can see, I used a different approach here from my usual landscapes. It's closer and concentrating on more details in an otherwise bland day. I used very little PP as I wanted the scene to look as natural as possible. Colors are also not enhanced but I concentrated on the crisp quality without oversharpening the image. Link to comment
arctic monkey 0 Posted January 22, 2005 A fabulous image, I'd love to roam about. The contrast throughout the frame is what appeals to me, that and the beauty of the land. I like it the way it is but Christopher's suggestion could help out a bit. By lowering your angle the trees in the middle background would contrast even more brilliantly. Cheers. Link to comment
