wenger 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Pretty place. I wish it weren't cropped quite as tight on the bottom, and more space on the right may also be nice to complete the oval. Nicely seen. Link to comment
ada-ipenburg 0 Posted January 11, 2005 This shot looks very familiar to me. I saw it a couple of weeks ago. It was your B&W version. I remember me I liked it very much because I've got the feeling to look into a misty tunnel. I like this version too. The beautiful colours of the plants on the right bank and that particular orange which comes back in the brick of the bridge makes this a beautiful picture again. Great shot! 7/6 Best Regards, Ada. corbin 0 Posted January 11, 2005 Too bad the light was not any better. The composition and the color tones are lovely. Link to comment
novastorm 0 Posted January 12, 2005 I agree the light could have made this even more special. Still very nice Sondra. Cheers Nova :) 5/6 Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Hi Claude and Nova, the weather was perfect for shooting, no harsh shadows, it was a bright day with the sun popping out occasionally. Maybe I didn't give it enough in PS. Here is another copy, I hope you like this one better. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment
novastorm 0 Posted January 13, 2005 I think your first one is by far the best Sondra. I had a go at taking it to the extreme in PS while maintaining the stonework. It sure is a great shot. Cheers Nova Link to comment
daniel_benoit 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Very nice place indeed. I love it. I think the crop is great. Makes you feel like you are entering the picture. Link to comment
harlow_b._staley 0 Posted January 13, 2005 I also vote for the original. It appears to me that the left side under the arch needs brightening but the right side doesn't. It would take some really advanced PS work to accomplish that. It's a lovely picture as is. Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted January 13, 2005 I usually like colour rather than b&w but in this case ( and after a recount of votes) I probably go for the b&w for its concentration on shape and composition. And what is wrong with deep shadows?? :-) Link to comment
sondra kick 0 Posted January 13, 2005 Hey Colin, nothing is wrong with deep shadows. I have been told I use too much color, more like a cartoon, so I have tried to tone things down a bit. Cheers, Sondra Link to comment

kslonaker 0 Posted January 15, 2005 All the attachments won't open for me - :( I like this one, Sondra. It's a little tight, yes, but it's still very appealing. Link to comment
