Movement is stills photography is something of a hit or a miss. I am

not sure if this is a hit or not. I hope you will let me know!

I believe that it does work here and "The Tilt" helps it do so. To my eye it might work better if everything was pushed a tad to the left, but that is just personal preference.

She is almost lost in the image except for an exceptionally beautiful left leg. Well done.

David, I think this is a bullseye. (Even if there are no nude women,, beer, fruit or flowers.) Congrats!

I'm going with Owen on the push to the left comment. I do like the diagonals.

Owen, You once told me I was not a very good judge of my own photographs! It appears this is the case. You were the first to rate it and you were kind enough to give it 6/5 which I thought was very generous. Others have come along and been equally kind. Maybe this photo is better than I thought. I took it simply because movement fascinates me.

Your point about pushing things left is noted. I think it would have been OK if the ghosts in the left of the picture behind the cop had been more visible. The tilt was not deliberate as such. I tilted the camera to get rid of a stray head that was sticking into the frame!

Owl, I am glad you like this even if there are no naked women, beer or fruit. Strange as it may seem, I have never photographed beer, fruit and naked women all at once...... well at least not yet..... maybe.... just maybe there is one in the bank! Watch this space!

Jim, Thanks for looking!

Alex, I don't think it is a serious look on the cop's face... I think he is bored.

Knicki, I'm with Owen too! I guess a reshoot is in order. Glad you like the diagonals.

Thanks everyone!

David, I think what makes this photo work is not just the tilt, but the fact that the policeman is motionless while the people around him are blurred. Makes you wonder which is the ghost. Rare to get a shot like this. Excellent work.

I am with Mr. OWL on this one completely. espeshly on the first comment..lol. That is realy impressive/creepy that the C. Gaurd is so motionles compared to his suroundings though.

It would be great to see a reshoot, just to see more of this style. it's very interesting!

There are problems getting shots like this at noon. This area is sea of people.

I have just noticed Owl mentioned 'flowers.' I don't think I have ever photographed women with flower. Mmmmm! Let me think!

Not only one lady ghost. Saw one behind the cop too. Not easy to capture movement, yet you have incoporate this into a very interesting image & comcept. Very good.

Thanks for the comment. It is quite difficult to capture but to be honest with you, it is a hit or a miss if you get it right. I think the key here is to take as many pictures as you can and pick the best. I feel this could be better.

Thanks!

If you will note, the ghost behind the policeman leaves a foot print that starts a perfect diagonal to the foot attached to the beautiful leg I mentioned earlier. If this was intentional then you are a genious, if not intentional you are lucky as hell.

This is an image I might play with in black and white and see what happens. If you chose not to, I might.

David, it certainly works in my book. The reasons are the composition (especially the tilt,) and the contrast between stationary and movement (which you've made known is what you've been aftering.) So, "Jong-Wan," it is. ^_^

Owl, I didn't see your second remark until now. Thanks a lot.

Owen, I think some of the luck of the Irish must be rubbing of on me.

Helium, I am glad you like this. I do have a similar shot which I will upload later. I hope you stop by!

Thanks everyone!

David, I think this one is a hit. Well actually let's hope it isn't. That would make for an entirely different photo. Looking at this, one certainly gets the feeling of the hustle and bustle of the city. I'm not sure I agree with the "shift to the left". If you did that, you would lose the boots in front of the bus (ghosts of slain pedestrians past?). I do agree with the the comments re: the tilt and the cop! Lots to look at in this one!

Thanks for you time Laurie. I was actually photographing something else and was just about to leave when I saw this. I think it could be better or maybe just different.

Like I say, a reshoot is in order I think!
