"Linear"

Very difficult to decide what they are. I finally decided after looking sideways that they were pillars. Something tells me I'm right when I scrolled down and saw you took them in DC. interesting shot.

I was perusing your folder and saw this shot. I like the symmetry the best. It looks like you mirrored the pillars, reversed one and joined then at the center, no? Cool perspective. I wouldn't have though to try a manipulation like that.

Thanks Philippe. You're close on the technique. This image was made from a cropped hi-res scan of columns in front of the National Archives. The original is not bad, and I may post it. The image was mirrored vertically, then rotated on its side. The convergence of the columns appears naturally.

This image is a bit derivative of some well-known artists (in the

paint medium), but I thought it would be fun to try this with photos.

Does the linearity work or is it too busy? I know it's images like

this are not many people's cup of tea on this forum. Comments

It's not too busy at all, just interesting. I could have an enlargement of this up on a wall and look at it for quite some time.

I like it. Reminds me of a Frank Stella piece. The linearity is not too busy because the lines, more or less, go in the same direction. It's not too boring either because they don't go in the exact same direction. Nice tones and gradient too. Keep up the good work!
